Meaning and Definition of Infancy

 Meaning of Infancy -  Infancy is  the ideal period of learning, this period is called the cornerstone of future life.  This is an important period of life.  It is a learning curve by simulation, in this phase physical development takes place rapidly. It is a state of momentary momentum.  Infancy is called the golden period in terms of proper emotional development.  This stage includes the stage from birth to five years.

Definition of  Infancy Stang - "In the first two years of life the child lays the foundation of his future life."

According to Ross - "The infant is the hero of the imagination, so his directing is required."

According to Adler - "Shortly after the birth of an infant it can be determined what its place is in the future."

According to Watson - "The extent and intensity of learning in infancy is much greater than in other stages of development."                                   According to Valentine - "Infancy is the ideal time to learn."

According to Sigmund Freud - "The instinct of sex in the infant is very strong but it is not as expressive as that of adults."
