Insight Theory of Learning
Insight Theory of Learning - This principle was formulated by the Gastalt Sect. Its promoters are Kohler, Kofka and Max Verdimer. The insight theory is also called the theory of thought. According to Kohler, learning is not sudden from an exercise but is sudden, so it is also said to be based on cognitive learning. Because the learner learns through his understanding, not by performing any action. Koehler experimented on a forest man named Sultan, in which the forestman was locked in a cage and the food was kept out of his reach outside the cage. Also put some sticks and boxes in that cage. The forest man kept wandering for some time, but after some time, he suddenly thought of a solution. He took those bananas by using those sticks and climbing on the box. In this experiment, it has been said that the problem has been solved suddenly, which makes it clear that learning takes place through sensation, as well as the whole situation was used by the forest man by observing the whole situation, so he used it to collect material The principle of is also said.
Application of insight theory in education -
1. To make teaching learning effective, the teacher should explain the status of the subject matter to the students through appropriate teaching methods, methods and supporting material.
2. In order for students to use their insights, the teacher must create conditions conducive to all three levels of learning (memory, comprehension, thinking).
3. The goals should be clear to the students.
4. There is a definite sequence of learning in which the learning process moves from simple to difficult.
5. Students' prior experience helps in learning.
6. The teacher should generalize the content so that it helps in solving new problems.
7. The instinct of self-interest in students should be encouraged.
Importance of the theory of sense in education - This principle is useful for creative works. It enhances children's intelligence, imagination and reasoning power. According to Skinner - This theory reduces the mechanical nature of habit and learning. It inspires the child to work on his own.
