Meaning and definition of intelligence

 Wisdom means - Intelligence is a mental ability generated by inheritance and environment, which helps a person to get the right guidance.  It is a birth  power and mental ability that gives a person the ability to adjust, problem-solve, reason-argument, contemplate-contemplate.  The source of intelligence is through the person's lineage, it is influenced by the person's environment.

 Definitions of intelligence - Psychologists have given different definitions of intelligence approaches, which Vernon and Freeman have tried to classify.

 Definitions based on Vernon's classification -

 1.  Approach based on biology - It describes intelligence as the ability to adjust to the environment.  This includes the following definitions.

 According to William Stern - "The word wisdom is an indicator of the ability of man to solve his problems by falling into a new situation."

 According to Burt - "Intelligence is the ability to adjust to relatively new situations simultaneously."

 2.  Psychological approach - through this, the interpretation of intelligence is determined by inheritance and environment.

 Hab and Cattle have described two types of intelligence - first, fluid intelligence which is a form of inborn quality due to genetic potential.  Second, intelligent intelligence that develops from experience, learning and environment.

 3.  Operational approach - -Its intelligence is defined on the basis of measurable factors.

 According to the Kosh, the ability of the intellect to acquire and apply the meaning of the intellect is reflective of this approach.

 Definitions based on Freeman's classification -

 1.  Learning Capacity -

 According to Dearborn - "Intelligence is the ability to experience and benefit from learning."

 According to Woodrow -"Intelligence is the ability to acquire."

 According to Buckingham - "The ability to learn is wisdom."

 2.  Adaptability -

 According to wechlor - "Intelligence is the organized ability of a person that motivates him to act purposefully, think logically and cope effectively with his environment."

 According to Wells - "Intelligence definitely means the power that organize our behavior patterns to work well under new circumstances."

 According to Kruse - "Intelligence is the ability to adjust well to new and different situations."

 According to Calvin - "A person's intelligence develops only in proportion to learning and learning to adjust with the new environment."

 3.  Ability to think abstract -

 According to Terman - "Intelligence  is the ability of abstract thinking."

 4. Problem Solving Ability -

 According to Burt - "Intelligence  is the ability to make good decisions, understand and reason."

 According to Rayburn - "Intelligence  is the power that gives us the ability to solve problems and achieve our objectives.
